“LIND” has 2,200 hectares of fertile land located in the townships of Siemyśl, Trzebiatów and Sławoborze, in the proximity of the Baltic Coast, which due to its climatic-soil conditions is regarded as Poland’s most favorable place for growing seed potatoes. The company plants almost 300 hectares of seed potato a year. Besides seed potato, the company also grows grains, including wheat, malting barley and oil seed rape, mainly to assure a proper rotation of crops (minimum 7 years) on fields intended for growing seed potato.
The Management of “LIND” Ltd. has focused not only on the best location for production, but also proper, advanced infrastructure. Storerooms of the company, equipped in automatic and manual control systems as well as ventilation systems, have load capacity of approx. 10,000 tons, with a possibility of storing 1,800 tons in cold store. The company sorting plants can sort 300 tons of seed potatoes a day.
The healthy base material of high quality is imported mainly from Scotland. Seed potatoes are produced in a completely closed propagation cycle, with strict adherence to phytosanitary conditions and varietal purity. Before its sale, seed potato is reproduced in Poland for the maximum of two years, which is aimed at growing the best product, free of diseases and viruses, guarantying obtaining a good sowing material in the reproduction process. Combination of the best seed material and the most favorable conditions for potato growing in the northwestern region of Poland guarantee the highest quality and health of seed potato.
Although "LIND" Ltd. has achieved a significant positionon the market and is a recognizable brand name, it has been constantly searching for new solutions in production, leading to obtaining even better seed material. The company is a member of the Polish Seed Trade Association and cooperates closely with the Main Inspectorate of Plant Health and Seed Inspection.
